Description


TeamSpeak Server has been in development since 2004. It was a complete rewrite of Teamspeak 2 with many new features, but has had infrequent updates on the development blog, and was first estimated to be released in mid-2006. The first public release of the TeamSpeak Server SDK was on 5 June 2008, with the integrated solution in the MMO game Vendetta Online. Open beta of TeamSpeak 3 was released on 9 December 2009. Open beta was closed on 10 August 2011 and replaced with Teamspeak 3.0.0 Final, which is the first stable release of Teamspeak 3.

TeamSpeak 3 introduced the use of unique IDs, maintained in the program as identities, that are randomly generated at the time of a client's initial setup. An identity contains a nickname, which can be changed at any time, the Unique ID and an identity name, which is not visible to other users on the server. The unique id is used by the server to grant permissions to the user. Unique IDs replaced the need for a user to register with the server to keep their user group, be it a channel group or a server group.

What happens if my game server is not instantly created?

Please create a support ticket if no welcome e-mail is received 10 minutes after ordering.
Occasionally, our software may need additional verification from the payment process or there may have been a technical issue.

What is the average support ticket response time?

All support tickets are responded within 12-24 hours maximum. Most responses within just a few hours except when there is high demand or the issue is complex and not easily solvable.

What happens when my game server gets a DDoS attack?

Your game server is located inside our DDoS protected network, so... nothing. You will be able to play as usual. * This is subject to the limitations of the DDoS protection which are in place. Inquire via support ticket to learn more. *

I have a lag problem. How should i handle it?

Determining the root cause of lag is generally something handled via support ticket, but some of the time you can check a few things on your own:
  • If you have done any advanced customization to your server such as installing third party mods/scripts, you may want to roll back to our default versions.
  • Lag is usually server side - but you could check your game settings to see if anything has been changed locally on your computer or within your game.
If you are unable to determine the cause of lag using these debug steps, please submit a support ticket.

I have high ping. Is this normal?

If you are located far away from our location, you may experience slightly higher latency/ping.
All our servers are located in Portugal, so we have lower latency in Portugal area. But some exceptions can happen.
